Reservation Season Is Here Already!

Monthly Update!

Wow, December already!?

November had us heading south for warmer weather, making our journey from brisk New England down to sunny Florida.

We had a lakeside stay in South Carolina, a quick stop in Savannah, and are now enjoying plenty of 75-degree days by the ocean.

This time of year is typically a bit of an enigma for us. A balancing act of spending quality time with family, leaning into the celebrations of the holiday season, recouping from the travel of the year past, and preparing for the travel of the year ahead.

Like many things in life, it can be both invigorating and at the same time just plain exhausting.

The holiday season, while joyous, often brings its own set of stressors and pressures. From managing expectations to balancing commitments, it's a time that can quickly become overwhelming.

We hope this holiday season you can give yourself permission to strike that balance between making travel plans for the upcoming year, spending time with family and friends, completing that pesky annual maintenance, and saving time for some nice rest and relaxation for yourself as well.

At the same time, try not to get too complacent during this season of over-indulging. Canada National Parks have issued their launch dates for camping, and many U.S. State Parks are already booking out into June!

For reference, it took us 2 tries to book a spot at a state park on the Oregon Coast for next May, each time trying to book the day sites opened. It can be rough out there for reserving sites, even as the COVID camping boom fades!

If you are dreaming of your next epic summer getaway, it's time to get booking! May the odds be in your favor!

Sincerely,

Alyssa & Zach
