We made it to Canada!

Monthly Update!

June was a month of both familiarity and expanding our comfort zone with brand-new experiences. After 1.5 years of full-time RV travel, we made our first repeat visit to one of our favorite spots... Acadia National Park.

We love the rocky coast of Maine and a few weeks hiking in Acadia was the perfect stop for us after a dose of city life in Portland.

We also ventured out on our first trip with our new backpacking gear to Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula and embarked on our first international trip with our RV, making our way into New Brunswick and starting our 3-month trip through Atlantic Canada!

July Challenge: Reflect on Your Growth
June was all about taking bold steps and jumping into something new, even if it felt scary. As we pass the halfway mark of 2023, it is a great opportunity to look at all that you have accomplished so far this year.
With so much to look forward to and work toward, it can be easy to forget to glance in the rearview and look at just how far you have come. Reflection can help build confidence and momentum as you continue moving towards your goals!
What are some wins you have celebrated this year? Or what have you learned about yourself along the way? What is something you are most proud of?

Travel can be transformative when it is tied to your values and helps deepen your connection to yourself or the world around you. This summer we will be spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors hiking and broadening our perspectives as we travel to new places, meet new people, and get exposed to new cultures.

How will your upcoming travels or adventures transform you?

Mindfully,

Alyssa & Zach

Travel Tip: Crossing the border into Canada (by car or RV)

We put a lot of preparation in to set ourselves up for a smooth border crossing into Canada. Here are some tips to keep in mind:

  • Roll the front and back windows down before you approach the checkpoint
  • Remove hats and sunglasses, remain calm, and answer the questions as best you can
  • Have your passports ready, as well as rabies vaccination certificates for any pets traveling with you
  • Know your general trip itinerary and how long you plan to be in Canada
  • Bear spray is allowed, pepper spray for self-defense is NOT (they will want to check this)
  • There are limitations on alcohol, as well as restrictions on fresh produce

This list is a helpful resource for what foods have restrictions!
